Playing "Time"

Richard 'Popcorn' Wylie..he and I wrote "Time". What happened is that Motown finally decided, when I was with them, to let me write and produce something. But it had to be collaboration, so Richard and I had been talking about collaborating work and some stuff. I used to have a record store in Detroit called "Edwin Starr's World Of Sound" and it was right next door to…….I was the first black individual to be given, from Panasonic, a Panasonic franchise…I was the very first one and I had all Panasonic equipment in my shop, they did what they call racking, they would come in and stock the shop and it was very good. Popcorn had a studio right next door cos' it was like a row of shops and we got together one time and we recorded "Time", we wrote it and recorded it.
